75 Days Until Christmas

Published

on

With 75 days until Christmas 2015 we thought we’d scour the web for articles that show you how you can have a green, clean, sustainable Christmas.

Research from YouGov in December 2014 suggested that Christmas spending year-on year would be flat, with British households spending £821 on average, a slight decrease of £1 on last year. This was made of £604 on gifts, £174 on food and drink and £43 on cards, trees and decorations.

YouGov’s Christmas spending intentions survey suggested the UK’s total intended festive spend would be around £22.5 billion, slightly up on 2013’s £22.3 billion. This was mainly driven by an increase in the adult population of the UK rather than an increase in consumers’ willingness to spend.

While the soundest advice is to consume a lot less and support a charity, here’s the top tip articles for having a greener, cleaner, more sustainable Christmas.
