Shopping the sustainable way
We all have to buy things to survive, but you can buy in a way that pollutes less and does less harm to people around the world without hurting your wallet.
If you are wanting to buy something, the site we recommend is the Ethical Superstore.
We cannot recommend The Good Shopping Guide enough. Comprehensive, definitive and easy to use, it tells you who are the heroes and villains in retail for every product you could ever need. All set out in a clear format with simple tables and guides to follow.
You can buy the book direct or through Amazon.
Two other great sources of information are the Ethical Consumer site and The Guardian’s green shopping guide.
It really is very easy to shop sustainably without compromising on quality.
