Green Investment Bank to be “fully operational” by 2013
The Green Investment Bank (GIB) – a £3 billion scheme set up to help the UK’s transition towards a green economy – will be “fully operational by the end of the year“, according to executive director Oliver Griffiths.
The news comes after German bank KfW was confirmed as an advisor to the GIB earlier this week.
Edinburgh was chosen as the host city for the project back in March, despite significant objection from us.
The GIB is expected to make its first green investment next month.
