A taste of Sustainable September from our 2013 bootcamp

Sustainable September, Blue & Green Tomorrow’s month-long series of debates and conferences, takes place for the first time this year (with tickets flying off the shelves). But it’s not the first time we will have hosted an event to amplify sustainability.

Last year, in the lead up to National Ethical Investment Week, we ran a Sustainable Investment Bootcamp.

Thought leaders, sustainable investment fund houses and specialist ethical financial advisers joined us to explain the world of sustainable and responsible investment (SRI) to their sceptical and interested peers. The event was created to address why SRI matters, what it is and what the leading practitioners in the field think and are doing.

Held in the medieval setting of Lincoln’s Inn in London, it punctured the pervasive myths of performance and demand for 21st century investment.

Will Day, sustainability adviser to PwC, gave a rousing keynote speech on the day about the biggest sustainability trends. He was so compelling, that we’ve invited him to speak at the all-day Sustainable September conference on September 30, which you can buy tickets for here.

The bootcamp was a success – so much so that we’ve taken it on the road this year, so far visiting Leeds, Liverpool and, most recently, Edinburgh. Events in Bristol, Birmingham and London (during Sustainable September) are planned for the second half of 2014.

Below is a promo video, produced by Be Inspired Films (our film partners for Sustainable September), which should serve as a taster for what to expect from the four debates and the all-day conference happening in September.

If you like what you see, why not book your place at one of the five? Click here to find out more.
