5 Ways to Get Rid of Nasty Pests Without Hurting the Environment

Pests are a massive problem for homeowners and businesses across the country. They spend around $8 billion a year getting rid of termites, scorpions, rats and other pests. Removing these unwanted pests is usually they’re only concern at the moment. However, the damage that pest control techniques cause to the environment cannot be overstated.

You probably never thought about making cookies for your invading army of ants and roaches. However, they can be very effective. The Healthy Home Economist has a great recipe, which includes:

  • One cup of flour
  • One cup of white sugar
  • One cup of boric acid
  • One egg

You can make up to 20 cookies with this recipe. They will take care of your ant and roach problem within a matter of days. Just make sure that you keep them away from your children. It is best to use this strategy only if you don’t have any children under seven years old in the home.

You are probably familiar with the old adage: “An ounce of prevention is better than a pound of cure.” This line of thinking definitely applies to pest control. Keeping annoying pests from getting into your home in the first place is going to make your life a lot easier.

She found that it made a big difference getting rid of the insects. Best of all, the concoction didn’t have a strong smell, so it didn’t disturb Katie or her family. However, it clearly did a good job getting rid of the pests.
