We all know some big changes need to be made to combat Climate Change and protect our environment and clearly COP21 has been headline news over the past few days. We need those big targets and now we need to ensure all nations meet the commitments they have made.

But what about closer to home? What about those little things we do on a very personal level? We too as individuals need to be held accountable and ensure that we consider our environmental impacts on a day to day basis. That, of course, doesn’t mean sack cloth and sandals. And it doesn’t mean that we shouldn’t enjoy the Christmas festivities either. But are we remembering to hold on to our ethical values?

If you haven’t finished your Christmas present buying, you might like to check out the Ethical Christmas Presents Directory. It’s quite a small  directory so you will not suffer from overload, but it does showcase some wonderful products offered by members of the Organisation for Responsible Businesses (ORB).You’ll find gorgeous natural and organic beauty products; delightful children’s clothes with fully traceable origins – yep, even where the cotton is grown!; luxury ladies hand made scarves; ethical t-shirts, hoodies and sportswear; cuddly teddy bears, soft toys and bear making kits; and even refurbished IT equipment!

Sarah Kelleway, a member of ORB, also has some great tips on how to have an eco-friendly Christmas: 10 tips to make sure your Christmas is merry, bright and green.
