EQ Investors (EQ) the boutique wealth manager led by John Spiers is proud to announce that it has become one of the UK’s founding B Corporations. The prestigious B-Corp certification is recognised as the highest standard for socially responsible businesses.

B (benefit) Corporations are a new type of purpose-driven business that create benefit for all stakeholders, not just shareholders. To be certified, companies must complete a rigorous assessment of their business practices to validate their ‘social impact’ credentials.  Those that are judged to have achieved higher standards of social and environmental performance, transparency and accountability, receive B-Corp status.

John Spiers, CEO at EQ Investors commented:  “We are extremely honoured to be one of the UK’s 50 founding B Corporations. B-Corp certification is to business what Fair Trade certification is to coffee or organic certification is to food. There is a growing demand for companies to channel their solutions towards solving social and environments issues.

We’re always striving to achieve higher standards and becoming a Certified B Corporation aligns with our business goals. We hope that our participation will inspire other companies to get on board.”

“We are delighted to welcome EQ Investors to our founding UK B Corp Community.” said James Perry, Co-ordinator, B Lab UK Launch.
