Yesterday there was news that  the Munduruku Indigenous Peoples and Greenpeace Brazil joined forces to save the Tapajos River from a wave of mega dams, research suggested the destructive downpours seen in areas of France at the end of May were caused by man-made climate change and campaigners said the decision by North Yorkshire County Council to allow fracking near Ryedale could be unlawful. Other news included the divestment of fossil fuels by the Swedish capital, Stockholm, and Greenpeace exposed palm oil forest fires at IOI Group concessions. For all of yesterday’s news, read below.
