Blue & Green Tomorrow ‘office’ named best station pub in the world

Blue & Green Tomorrow’s makeshift office, the Parcel Yard pub in King’s Cross station, London, has been named the best railway station pub in the world.

The establishment – where we regularly hold meetings and team events – was named best individual food and beverage concept at a rail station at the recent International Food and Beverage Creative Excellence Awards (FAB) 2014.

With staff dotted around the UK – in Lincoln, Sheffield, Doncaster, Nottingham and London, as well as Italy – the Parcel Yard serves as a perfect central meeting point for Blue & Green Tomorrow get-togethers. It is where we held our third birthday party last November and is often referred to as ‘the office’ by our team.

It beat off the likes of Paris Gare de Lyon, SSP France and Montreux Jazz Café to pick up the prestigious award.

Jonathon Swaine, managing director for Fuller’s Inns, which runs the pub, said, “This is an incredible accolade for the Parcel Yard and for Fuller’s.

We are immensely proud of our station pubs and are delighted that our continued focus on delivering quality food with first class beer has now been recognised on an international level. I would like to take this opportunity to thank the team at the Parcel Yard for all their hard work.”

We highly recommend you pop down. Chances are, if you do, you’ll bump into one of us there. Make ours a pint of London Pride and a side order of pigs in blanket and devils on horseback.
