Sustainable September: full-day conference moves to Royal Geographical Society
Blue & Green Tomorrow’s Sustainable September full-day sustainability conference has changed venues, moving to the Royal Geographical Society.
The event, which will run from 8am to 6pm on September 30, was originally due to be held at Central Hall Westminster.
The change of venue will instead see the conference take place at the headquarters of the UK’s learned society and professional body for geography, in South Kensington. The Royal Geographical Society contributes much to the understanding of sustainability issues.
The sustainability event will be a TEDx-style conference, which will bring together over 20 visionaries and thought leaders to discuss sustainability and solutions to unsustainability, asking how we create a blue and green tomorrow.
Among the confirmed speakers are Ben Goldsmith, founding partner of WHEB and prominent philanthropist, Charles Clover, author of End of the Line, Carbon Tracker’s CEO Anthony Hobley, the chief adviser on climate change at WWF Leo Hickman, and sustainability adviser at PwC Will Day.
Also featured are Jeremy Leggett, founder and chairman of Solarcentury and SolarAid, Kevin Anderson, professor of Energy and Climate Change at the University of Manchester and Mark Sait, managing director of SaveMoneyCutCarbon.com.
More speakers will be confirmed very shortly.
The all-day conference will be the closing event of Sustainable September, which will feature a series of debates about investment, energy, tourism and retail, where leading thinkers will discuss a wide range of issues.
The tickets for the debates and the final conference are available to book here.
