Stables Cottage offers guests the perfect opportunity to explore the beauty west Scotland has to offer and is available to book now through cottages4you.
In an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, rich in wildlife, with pine marten, otters and golden eagles close by to the cottage. A warm welcome awaits visitors to this comfortable holiday home.
Just minutes away are the Bridge over the Atlantic and Seil Island where a small ferry can be taken to visit Luing and Easdale. Excellent coastal walks and boat trips to view offshore wildlife can be enjoyed from Seli Island, 3 minutes away. Keen astrologers will also marvel at the wonderfully dark skies.
Oban, which is just 10 miles away, offers all amenities including supermarkets andfuel. From Oban guests can take a ferry to explore the Isles of Mull and others. This busy port is ‘The Gateway to the Isles’ but it’s also perfect for exploring Argyll to the south and the Highlands to the north. Oban is the ferry port that starts many a Scottish island adventure but this pretty and vibrant town deserves a much closer look in its own right.
The crescent shaped hills that surround Oban Bay forms the port town of Oban, where there are plenty of excellent shops, cafes and restaurants, many of which overlook the picturesque bay, in fact Oban has a great selection of seafood restaurants, which is why it’s known as the ‘Seafood Capital of Scotland’.
To get active try kayaking, gorge walking, coasteering and more at Stramash Outdoor Activities or for less energetic activity why not stroll the Arduaine Gardens, learn about local history at the free War and Peace Museum or surround yourself in traditional music at the Skipinnish Ceilidh House.
