Crowdfunding a global broadcast of Sustainable September

Published

Today we launched our £10,000 crowd funder for Sustainable September. Why? We’ve only got a limited number of tickets and can only get so many people together in the various venues. So we want to broadcast the event live, cut it to DVD and reach out to as many people as possible, globally.

We’re putting on a series of incredible events in September to debate the big issues in sustainability – the challenge of balancing the needs of our economy, society and environment. There’s going to be four Oxford-style evening debates and one TED-style all-day conference. We’ll be covering travel and tourism, retail and trade, energy and resources, investment and banking and climate change – focusing not just on the issues but how we tackle them.

And that’s where you come in. We need a professional crew to film, stream and edit the 20 hours of footage we’re going to generate. We’ve found a great social enterprise to do just that and we need to raise funding to cover their costs.

We need you to help us spread the word about sustainability, as far and as wide as possible. After watching this, tell your friends what we’re doing, share the message and, if you can, pledge.

Help us to help our planet by crowdfunding us today.

Thank you.
