The film takes a look at the thousands of people who live among some of the world’s most unexpected natural wonders, whilst risking their lives in the pursuit of cutting edge science in a hostile environment.
The film crew begins at the McMurdo Station and interviews some of the maintenance and support workers, as well as an iceberg geologist. They then move on to a seal camp where they join zoologists and speak with biologists.
Many of the shots are awe-inspiring throughout Encounters at the End of the World, from ice caps to tunnels under the ground. The documentary highlights just how unique this environment is.
