Francesco, 53, has a degree in political sciences and a Ph.D. in political and economic geography. Starting his professional career as academic researcher, he has been working in the field of international cooperation for years.
Pioneer of sustainable finance, he was one of the coordinators of the national campaign of capitalization of Banca Etica and later Director of International Relations of the bank; Vice President of Febea (European Federation of Ethical and Alternative Banks) and INAISE (International Association of Investors in the Social Economy) and General Director of Choros Foundation (Banca Etica).

In the recent years, he was Chief Technical Advisor of the UNDP ART Programme (Articulation of Territorial Networks) in Lebanon and then Coordinator for the same organization in Brussels.

“We are very pleased to have Francesco on board. He is a very experienced professional, with a firm understanding of the issues of sustainable finance and a strong international network” said Maurizio Agazzi, FFS President “We are confident that he will successfully continue the work of Davide Dal Maso, to whom the association owes a lot”.
“I am grateful for the trust given to me by Maurizio Agazzi and the entire FFS Board,” said Francesco Bicciato. “I think that financial activity has a key role in the promotion of a more sustainable socio-economical model and the FFS is the right organization to mobilize the resources necessary to serve this purpose.”
