Win free ethical gifts for Christmas during advent

Some of the UK’s most popular ethical brands have clubbed together to offer individuals daily, pre-Christmas prizes throughout December.

Extra Ethical has recruited the likes of Triodos Bank, Solarcentury, Trillion Fund, Ben & Jerry’s and ResponsibleTravel.com, and begins handing out free ethical gifts tomorrow.

To be in with a chance of winning, all you have to do is register on the website, and as well as being entered into a daily prize draw, you’ll also receive handy tips and hints on how to make your Christmas as green and ethical as possible.

Christmas should be a celebration; of good things and doing good. But nowadays it’s turned into the biggest shopping spree of the year“, Extra Ethical’s ‘about’ page reads.

We don’t have to engage in mass consumption to make merry; we can still celebrate in style without tacky tat and plastic hats and throw-away this and that.

There are hundreds of ways to reduce our impact and have a more ethically minded Christmas, most of which are more authentic, more fun and require a little but more thought, which is what Christmas should really be about!

Divine Chocolate, People Tree and Pants to Poverty are some of the other brands signed up to the advent give-away. All three will be featuring in Blue & Green Tomorrow’s Guide to Ethical Shopping which is set for publication next week.

It includes interviews with the likes of Fairtrade and War on Want, as well as a rundown of some of the leading dedicated ethical, sustainable and responsible shopping brands in the UK.
