Tickets on sale for Blue & Green Tomorrow’s Sustainable September events
Tickets for five events taking place during Sustainable September, Blue & Green Tomorrow’s month-long celebration of sustainability, have been released to the general public. Click here to buy yours now.
Events are taking place across London in each week of September – comprising of four evening debates on tourism, retail, energy and investment and an all-day sustainability conference on September 30 at Westminster’s Central Hall.
There is a 15% discount if you buy tickets to all five events (i.e. you get one debate free) and for those booking five tickets to the main conference event (i.e. 10% group discount).
The events are as follows:
The Sustainable Tourism Debate – Museum of London, September 3, 6-9pm
“Growth in tourism is undesirable: it is rarely economically, socially or environmentally ‘good’.”

The Sustainable Retail Debate – Royal Geographical Society, September 10, 6-9pm
“Free trade trumps fair trade in helping developing economies.”

Linda Whetstone, chairman of Network for a Free Society and board member at the Institute of Economic Affairs
Fairtrade Foundation, the organisation that licenses use of the Fairtrade mark on products in the UK
Rainforest Alliance, an NGO that works to conserve biodiversity and ensure sustainable livelihoods by transforming land-use practices, business practices and consumer behavior

Sustainable September: The Event – Central Hall, Westminster, September 30, 8am-6pm
The all-day sustainability event will be a TEDx-style conference, which will bring together over 20 visionaries and thought leaders to discuss sustainability, solutions to unsustainability and how we create a blue and green tomorrow.

Charles Clover, chairman of the Blue Marine Foundation, former environment editor of the Daily Telegraph and author of the book that inspired the award-winning documentary The End of the Line
Leo Hickman, former Guardian journalist and author of A Life Stripped Bare: My Year Trying to Live Ethically. Now chief adviser on climate change at WWF-UK
Ben Goldsmith, founding partner of sustainable investment business WHEB, chair of the Conservative Environment Network and co-founder of the Environmental Funders Network
Anthony Hobley, chief executive officer at the Carbon Tracker Initiative, a non-profit organisation working to align the capital markets with the climate change policy agenda
Stephen Tindale, associate fellow at the Centre for European Reform and former executive director of Greenpeace
Will Day, sustainability adviser to PwC, with 25 years’ experience working with NGO relief and development organisations
