Passive House Movement Report Assesses The High Performance Buildings Market
A recent report, published by the Pembina Institute, focuses on the reasons behind the rapid growth of Passive House building development.
Passive House is a building standard that promotes building energy efficient, comfortable, eco-friendly and affordable construction. The report assesses the reasons behind the increase in Passive House building developments – the number of Passive House buildings in North America has increased from 500 to over 2,000 units in the last year
The report also highlights both the costs and the benefits, such as the significant heating and cooling energy savings, of the passive house buildings and looks at the way in which public policy can promote Passive House development.
The full report, published in September, is available to download in full here.
