Government to pay householders to generate heat from renewable sources
The government is considering paying householders that generate their own ‘green’ heat such as air and ground-source heat pumps, biomass boilers and solar thermal panels.
The initiative known as RHI (Renewable Heat Initiative) will apply to households that installed renewable heating from 15th July 2009 and those looking to replace their current heating with a renewable heating kit.
