PwC’s sustainability adviser Will Day, who will take part to Sustainable September’s all day conference, will be on the Guardian’s live chat today to answer questions about conscious businesses and sustainability.

Day will join others, like Dan Gregory, head of policy at Social Economy Alliance and co-founder of Conscious Business People Pete Burden, in talking about sustainable versus conscious business.

The live chat will be hosted on the Guardian website from 1-2pm BST. Those wishing to ask questions can leave a comment or tweet questions to @GuardianSustBiz using the hashtag  #askGSB.

The panel discussion will look at which sector can benefit the most from conscious business principles, how these can be integrated and how they can affect profits.

Day will participate in Blue & Green Tomorrow’s full day sustainability conference on September 30, during Sustainable September, our month-long sustainability celebration.

He has 25-year experience in working with NGO relief and development organisations and is a faculty member of the University of Cambridge Programme for Sustainability Leadership. Day was also the chair of the UK Sustainable Development Commission until March 2011 and was a board member of the Overseas Development Institute (ODI) until October 2012.

The TED-style event will see sustainability experts, including founder partner of WHEB and philanthropist Ben Goldsmith, CEO of the Carbon Tracker Anthony Hobley, chief dviser on Climate Change at WWF Leo Hickman, Chairman of Solarcentury and SolarAid Jeremy Legget and many more, gather to discuss sustainability.

The conference will be the closing event of Sustainable September, which will host four different debates about tourism, retail, investment and energy, during the whole month. Tickets for the single events and for the conference are available to book here.
