TEC successful at The Energy Awards 2016
The ‘Energy Buying Team of the Year’ was awarded to the Energy Consortium (TEC) at this year’s Energy Awards.
The achievement is noteworthy as TEC was entered in the larger team category, beating some notable private sector teams to secure this award.
The result was announced at the London Hilton, Park Lane on 30 November, with TEC taking the top spot in this prestigious category.
Richard Murphy, managing director, TEC, said: “We’re delighted to receive such fantastic recognition from this high profile awards event. The award demonstrates our significant growth and development and how we have delivered significant customer input into our framework strategy.”
The award reflects TEC’s considerable skill in meeting demanding procurement regulations while delivering market leading supply arrangement, including a wide range of additional features to meet member requirements.
Richard Murphy continued: “This is a great achievement and a testament to the effort and teamwork shown throughout the organisation and all credit and gratitude goes to the TEC team for this win.”
Through their new frameworks, recognised by the award, TEC implements intricate purchasing strategies, exploring the market on a daily basis to capture valuable data to analyse and ensure energy prices are managed effectively.
TEC is a leading provider of collaborative energy procurement to the public sector, particularly to higher education institutions, and, as a not-for-profit organisation, it provides effective energy management solutions to the benefit of its member network.
