Blue & Green holiday cottages: Mendipside, Draycott
This spacious Victorian house is located in the charming village of Draycott and is available to book now through cottages4you.
The property has an abundance of character with original fireplaces throughout and sumptuous furnishings. Adjoining another property and being set over two storeys, there is plenty of room for the larger group to spread out and enjoy privacy. The master bedroom benefits from a sitting area and balcony, whilst the kitchen/dining room is perfect for entertaining.
The house is centrally located in Draycott where there are many attractions in the immediate vicinity, including Chedder Gorge and Caves, Wells Cathedral and Bishop’s Palace, Glastonbury Tor and Abbey and Wookey Hole Caves.
For keen walkers and cyclists the Strawberry Line is nearby, a disused railway line converted into a network of paths running from Clevedon to Cranmore, the Mendips and the Quantocks. The nearby Chew Valley and Blagdon Lakes are also ideal for nature watching and fishing.
The cities of Bath and Bristol are within an hour’s drive, as are the costal resorts and sandy beaches of Weston-super-Mare, Clevedon and Burnham-on-Sea. The closest shop is just half a mile away from the property, whilst a pub and restaurant are 100 yards.
Features: On the ground floor is a large living room with open fire, a spacious conservatory-style dining room with patio doors leading to a decking area and a well-equipped kitchen. The first double bedroom and shower room are also located on the ground floor. The first floor consists of three double bedrooms, two of which are en-suites, and a twin room.
