Talented Tech Start-Ups Set to Pitch to Investors

LDN Technology Week

Creative leaders and innovators from the technology industry will be in the capital for the next seven days for London Technology Week. The week-long event kicked off today and on Wednesday 22 June some of the UK’s most up-and-coming tech start-ups will pitch to investors. The Pitch LDN event will take place from 1.30 – 7pm at the Huckletree Shoreditch.

Pitch LDN developed by international tech trade experts, Chinwag, features 14 technology start-ups, chosen from 180 applications, who have secured seed funding and are seeking their next round of investment.

Companies presenting on the day include fintech aggregator, CityFALCON, crime-solving analytics provider, Create Intel who count 60% of UK police forces as customers, low-cost identity verification firm Veridu and social impact investment tracking platform Mark Labs.

VR-meets-gym equipment start-up, Gymcraft and Locomizer who have developed biology-inspired consumer profiling technology.

Sia Houchangnia from Seedcamp and Steve Barnard from Wilson Sonsini will share their views on the investment landscape in European and Silicon Valley, respectively.

They will pitch to an invited panel of expert investors from Passion Capital, Business Growth Fund, Beacon Capital, Raine Group and Qualcomm Ventures in front of an audience of start-ups, press and over 70 investors registered to attend.

Chinwag founder, Sam Michel said, “We’re overwhelmed with the quality of responses from the UK’s tech sector and companies applying from the US, Europe, Israel and even Iran. Pitch LDN will showcase a fantastic line-up of fast-growing firms and also serves to highlight London and the UK’s importance as a destination for high-tech start-ups”

The event is sponsored by law firm Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati and supported by KPMG Tech Growth. It is the first Pitch LDN event and follows on the success of Pitch NYC, helping fast-growing UK tech firms raise investment in the US.
