Conference added to New Energy & Cleantech Awards 2013
The New Energy & Cleantech Awards 2013, which take place in London on March 21, will be complemented by a conference called Fostering relationships between cleantech, clean energy and the financial community.
“Financing and market penetration are two of the most important considerations for any clean energy and cleantech business”, the organisers said.
“The conference will cover the issues of identifying new markets, addressing market trends in purchasing and utilising alternative streams of capital to achieve rapid growth.”
The conference will include panel discussions on how to mainstream cleantech and commercialise technology, as well as looking at the role of crowdfunding in accelerating new energy technologies.
The keynote discussion will look at multinational companies’ approaches to ‘green’ purchasing strategies.
The judging panel for the awards – which includes Professor Paul Ekins of University College London, Stephen Fawkes of Day One Group and Charlie Thomas of Jupiter Asset Management – are in the process of drafting up shortlists, after organisers appealed for nominations before Christmas.
Over 300 representatives from some of the most innovative energy and technology firms will be in attendance for the sixth instalment of the awards – which last year were held at the Science Museum.
