Charities, social enterprises and other businesses are invited to bring their stories to life through the medium of video, at a one-day course in Birmingham this month.
The event is co-ordinated by Be Inspired Films, which filmed Blue & Green Tomorrow’s Sustainable Investment Bootcamp in London last September and is the official film partner for Sustainable September.
The organisation’s past clients include the likes of Deutsche Bank, Nesta, Deloitte, Ben & Jerry’s and Oxford University, and it has also filmed and live streamed a range of independently-organised TEDx events, one most notably from the Royal Albert Hall.
Course participants will spend the day filming and editing content, and walk away from it with a short video of their own that they have created with the help of the Be Inspired experts.
As well as the valuable practical experience, the course offers insight into the world of film production – everything from how to plan a good video to sharing it with as wide an audience as possible.
Ravinol Chambers, founder of Be Inspired Films, said, “Video should not be a once a year thing, where you only get to share your story and the impact of your work in the one or two videos you can afford to make each year. To enable you to create your own video content all year round at low cost and do it well, we created our Video KnowHow courses and have trained over 1,000 people since November 2009.”
The course takes place on June 20 in Birmingham, with prices starting at £399 for charities, social enterprises and non-profit organisations and £499 for other businesses. For more details, see here.
