Why tobacco is bad for everyone
US talk show host John Oliver took a look at the “ageing product” that is tobacco in a recent segment on his show Last Week Tonight. He notes that despite decreasing popularity that tobacco is still making money.
During the clip Oliver praises Australia’s plain cigarette packaging regulation. He demonstrates how cigarette bands are using their power to battle against government regulation and health initiatives aimed at reducing the number of smokers, such as Phillip Morris suing Australia.
