Cultural tourism includes visiting museum and theatres and other cultural sites in cities and towns.

It can also involve travelling to traditional indigenous communities, rural areas or less accessible locations such as forests or desert region to learn more about customs, lifestyle and cultural heritage of people living in certain spots.
