National Ethical Investment Week video: Sustainable Investment Bootcamp
In the lead up to National Ethical Investment Week, Blue & Green Tomorrow hosted a Sustainable Investment Bootcamp, with thought leaders, leading fund houses and ethical advisers explaining the world of sustainable and responsible investment (SRI) to sceptical and interested financial advisers.
The event was created to address why SRI matters, what it is, and what the leading practitioners in the field think and are doing – as well as to open the debate between the sceptical and simply interested. Held in the medieval setting of Lincoln’s Inn in London, it punctured the pervasive myths of performance and demand for 21st century investment.
B> was joined by Will Day of PwC, Julia Dreblow of SRI Services and Michelle Hoskin of Standards International. The fund panel included Clare Brook of WHEB, John David of Rathbone Greenbank, Peter Michaelis of Alliance Trust, Ketan Patel of Ecclesiastical, Will Oulton of First State, Claudia Quiroz of Quilter Cheviot and Ryan Smith of Kames.
John Ditchfield of Barchester Green, Julian Parrott of Ethical Futures, Mark Hoskin of Holden & Partners, Tanya Pein of In2 Consulting and Helen Tandy of Gaeia made of the expert adviser panel. Mike Scott of the FT and Carbon Copy Communications and Raj Thamotheram, president of the Network for Sustainable Financial Markets, hosted the fund and adviser panels respectively.
