Bank of China Discuss Green Bonds At London Stock Exchange
Today marked the opening of LSEG’s inaugural China Green Bond Conference as the London Stock Exchange welcomed Prof Yao Wang of the Peoples Bank of China, Green Finance Committee and Harriett Baldwin MP, Economic Secretary to the HM Treasury.
The conference, hosted by London Stock Exchange in partnership with Climate Bonds Initiative, the Foreign & Commonwealth Office and the PBoC administrated China Green Finance Committee, brings together a diverse range of international experts and market practitioners to explore the key challenges and opportunities facing Chinese and other international issuers as they look to tap into growing investor demand for green bonds.
The conference takes place in the same week that Agricultural Bank of China listed its $1n landmark dual-currency, triple tranche green bond on the London Stock Exchange’s Main Market.
