Big Data 2016: Alicante, Spain – Wessex Institute
Due to the rise of IT and the rapid inclusion of the Internet and Mobile Computing in our lives, companies, enterprises and governments have huge volumes of information. This information overload greatly complicates the process of decision making of experts in any field. Furthermore, the heterogeneous nature of the sources and the large size of these databases imply a difficult challenge for analysts.
The Wessex Institutes Big Data conference takes place 3-5 May in Alicante, Spain, and brings together scientific experts on Computer Science, Statistics and Economics as well as other professionals offering solutions to secure current data management from the perspective of Big Data, Data Mining and predictive classical Statistics. From these disciplines all stages of the Data Management process are addressed: data collection, integration, storage, pre-processing, analysis and visualization.
Application areas where new techniques of Data Management are particularly relevant today, include e-commerce, finance, Smartcities and Medicine. See more detail about the event here.
The event is arranged by Wessex Institute of Technology (usually referred to as just Wessex Institute or WIT) is a unique organisation serving the international scientific community.
