Mark Hoskin named best responsible investment adviser at unbiased.co.uk awards
Mark Hoskin, a partner at London-based financial advisory firm Holden & Partners, has been named responsible investment adviser of the year at the unbiased.co.uk Media Awards 2014.
Hoskin is also a director at Blue & Green Communications (B&GC) – which owns Blue & Green Tomorrow and Blue & Green Investor. He helped set up sustainable investment website Worldwise Investor, which was acquired and rebranded by B&GC in September 2013.
The annual awards event, run by adviser search website unbiased.co.uk, honours the leading financial advisers, journalists and industry product providers. The 2014 edition was its 10th year.
Commenting on his award, which was sponsored by sustainable investment firm Alliance Trust, Hoskin said, “It was a very fun evening put on by Unbiased, and it was good to win the responsible investment adviser of the year award.
“The award is really a reflection of the work we do at Holden & Partners for our clients and also for the industry in setting up Blue & Green Investor, which has helped other advisers and investors understand what this area is all about and the great opportunities within it.”
Anna Sofat from Addidi Wealth won the financial adviser of the year award, while Dave Penny from Invest Southwest was handed the coveted judges’ award for outstanding contribution.
Journalists at the Mail on Sunday, Money Marketing, the Observer and the Independent on Sunday also picked up accolades.
Speaking about the event, unbiased.co.uk chief executive Karen Barrett said, “While each category was strongly represented, the winners exemplify those who support the Unbiased.co.uk campaign. I would also like to say a big thank you to our sponsors, judges, journalists and media advisers who have supported these awards.”
