12 years on, we still remember those affected by 9/11
Twelve years ago today, the single worst act of terrorism took place in the US, killing nearly 3,000 people in New York, Washington DC and Pennsylvania.
Memorials have taken place across the country to remember those who died, with Barack Obama and wife Michelle paying their respects at a memorial outside the Pentagon.
Our thoughts are with all those who lost family and friends in the tragedy.
