Responsible and independent tour operators: KE Adventure Travel
KE Adventure Travel is an independent adventure holiday specialist that offers over 300 adventure experiences around the globe.
Covering trekking, walking, discovery, mountain biking, climbing, safaris, winter adventures and both family and school trips, KE has gathered experience in providing thrilling and adventurous experiences over three decades.
Its first expedition took place in 1984, when its founders Tim Greening and Glenn Rowley set out to climb Pakistan’s Karakoram mountains. Gradually expanding their routes, the pair built on their success across the rest of Asia, covering China’s Tien Shan mountains and Nepal.
Today, KE adventurers have defeated Mont Blanc, Mount Everest base camp and the Canadian Rockies, to mention just a few. Covering the seven continents, the firm offers adventures in 72 countries, including family safaris to Africa, volcanic exploring in Sicily and whale watching in Oman.
KE says that it has “always strived to look beyond the tourist traps and to provide itineraries that include forgotten mountain trails, hidden valleys, isolated villages and deserted coastlines.”
Reviewers on the website Tour Radar have rated this company at an average of four out of five stars, while its sustainable tourism rating as a member of the Association of Independent Tour Operators (AITO) is no less than five out of five.
