UK Poll Shoes That Public Love Wind Power
A UK poll has been published today showing that the UK public support new energy technologies far more than they think they do. The question is whether news reporting may be to blame for this misunderstanding. In 2015 David Cameron’s government cut subsidies for onshore wind and also made it increasingly harder to get planing permission for such sites. This was after telling the House of Commons Liaison Committee in 2014 that people are “basically fed up” with wind farms.
