Saatchi & Saatchi Granted Environmental Management Standard
Saatchi & Saatchi London has become the first UK-based advertising agency to achieve certification to the new environmental management standard, ISO 14001:2015.
The full service, integrated communications network has met the stringent criteria of the new 2015 edition of the global environmental management standard. It requires organisations to take a comprehensive and strategic approach to environmental management.
Administration Director Jo Field commented:
“We have had a long-standing commitment to environmental issues having had a formal environmental programme since 2010. Upgrading to the new 2015 standard has allowed us to expand the reach and ambition of our environmental objectives”.
Working with sustainability strategy consultancy Brite Green, Saatchi & Saatchi London completed a full strategic review of the risks and opportunities for the communications agency. We have introduced upgraded environmental processes across all our functions, from estates management to procurement and our in-house production. For example, our new London offices have been designed to meet BREAM “excellent”, minimising energy use and incorporate a range of low-carbon technologies. We have also introduced a comprehensive environmental tool as part of our production planning process.
It’s no surprise that Saatchi & Saatchi London has led their peers in adopting the new, strategic environmental management standard.
