The Joy of Tax 2016

In April 2012, we wrote an article called the joy of tax (you can read it below). To misquote The Life of Brian what have taxes ever given us? Apart from defence of the realm, policing, prisons, the fire service, our world-class health service, schools, universities, pensions, transport, energy and water infrastructure (most of it sold off for less than it was worth) – and so on. People and organisations who aggressively avoid or illegally evade tax are free riders who should be brought to book.
