Blue & Green’s top 10 electric cars: #7 Renault Zoe

Blue & Green Tomorrow has compiled a varied list, in both price and performance, of the top 10 commercially available electric cars.

The fourth edition to Renault’s electric fleet, a great level of work has gone into this model to make it a very decent buying option.

It offers a zero emission powertrain and a well-equipped interior, with decent looks based on the Renault Clio model. 0-30mph takes only 4 seconds, but struggles with steep inclines and higher speeds – best for the flat, urban environment.

In comparison to the e-up! It’s a little more rigid in handling and drivability, probably due to its heftier size. A cool feature is in its slightly larger Renault badge, which doubles as a charging point. It also comes with blue neon lights to the front and rear of the car, giving it an electric edge.

A great all round car, the Renault Zoe is another decent model from Renault who are obviously intent on making some real impacts on the industry. The model is, however, significanly let down by its price, which pushes it just beyond the government’s electric car grant.
