The tenth edition of the Solar Electricity Handbook, written by best-selling environmental and technology author Michael Boxwell, will be released this year. The Solar Electricity Handbook provides an in-depth guide on energy saving and cost effective solar practices and has been given a make-over for its tenth birthday.

Greenstream Publishing will published its tenth edition of the internationally bestselling guide to solar electricity and installing photovoltaic systems, the Solar Electricity Handbook, written by Michael Boxwell, a leading environmental speaker who has been involved in the industry for fifteen years.

The title is priced at £19.99/$19.99 and available from all major retailers. The 2016 edition will include extensive updates, new chapters and all-new diagrams. Full color hardback and e-book editions will also be available.

The Solar Electricity Handbook has consistently been the leading title in its subject since its first edition in 2009, outselling competitors all over the world and proving indispensable to solar installers, researchers, students and homeowners, providing an informative and practical guide to installing these energy saving and cost effective systems.

The title has been extensively revised and updated for 2016, with a new look and interactive website featuring unique solar calculators and the opportunity to directly engage with the author.

The website that accompanies the book, found here, is one of the most comprehensive free online resources for solar energy on the internet and will also be extensively revamped for 2016 to include even more solar calculators and project tools to make solar energy projects as straightforward as possible.

Michael Boxwell, Author of the Solar Electricity Handbook, said: The solar industry continues to evolve with several exciting new technologies, particularly around battery storage and improved solar panels. The 2016 edition has been extensively revised to include these new products and highlights the increasing opportunities for solar around the world.”

The global solar market is booming, with forecasts of $75.2 billion in 2016, a 13.7 per cent increase from last year, and nearly double the forecast in 2011. North America is the fastest growing market, but the rest of the world, including China, is poised to catch up. The new, updated version of the Solar Electricity Handbook could hardly come at a more relevant time.

Michael Boxwell has designed and installed a number of photovoltaic electric systems over a number of years, for projects as diverse as powering on-street vending machines to charging electric vehicles. He is currently working on a project to create a new low-cost solar panel that will revolutionize the industry.
