Thomas Arensbach Joins Offshore Renewable Energy Catapult
The Offshore Renewable Energy Catapult has announced a new Senior Business Development Manager. Thomas Arensbach, who has a wealth of experience in the industry is set to take on the role. Thomas was former Head of Offshore Projects UK at Siemens and has also worked at Gamesa, A2Sea, Statkraft UK, UPC Energy Management and Vestas Offshore Wind.
Commenting on Thomas’ appointment, Andrew Jamieson, Offshore Renewable Energy Catapult Chief Executive, said: “Thomas’ extensive, international experience of developing offshore wind projects will prove invaluable to ORE Catapult as we continue to seek ways to lower the cost of energy from offshore renewables and maximise the huge potential economic benefits to the UK.”
Over his career, Thomas has been involved at various stages of projects installed totalling 3,750 MegaWatts.
Thomas Arensbach said: “It is an exciting time in the development of offshore wind, wave and tidal energy in the UK, with huge potential to be realised over the coming years as we look to the next decade. With its world-leading test and demonstration facilities and deep technical expertise, the Catapult is at the heart of realising that opportunity.”
