Edinburgh businesses take recycling to the zoo
Businesses in Edinburgh are being given the chance to find out just how wild recycling can be during a free event at Edinburgh Zoo. On Tuesday 8 December, Resource Efficient Scotland, a programme of Zero Waste Scotland, are delivering an innovative event entitled, ‘How to reduce your waste bill and recycle better’.
The event will comprise of a free half day workshop that will help organisations to reduce resource use, cut waste and save money. As an added bonus it also includes zoo tickets and panda viewing.
Marissa Lippiatt, Head of Resource Efficiency, Zero Waste Scotland, said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone in an organisation who influences or has direct responsibility for environmental performance to learn why waste management is so important. The event would also be beneficial for any management team members who are committed to improving the use of resources.”
Key issues which will be discussed during the event include:
– Why your organisation needs to take action on waste now
– Typical waste prevention, re-use and recycling opportunities Scottish organisations often overlook
– Find bigger savings by monitoring and evaluating your current performance and planning improvement actions
