The entrepreneurial trip, hosted by Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan and his deputy for business, Rajesh Agrawal, will lead a trade mission that includes 25 of London’s leading tech firms. From the 14th to the 21st of September, these high-growth B2B companies will join the Mayor for key meetings with major business players and the respective Majors of Chicago and New York, Rahm Emanuel and Bill de Blasio.
Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan said:
These high growth companies have the potential to become the next global tech giants
“London’s is one of the most vibrant and diverse places in the world to start and grow a technology business. These high growth companies have the potential to become the next global tech giants and I am delighted that they will join me in showing the world that London is open to talent, business and collaborations.”
SEaB Energy’s patented ‘Power in a box’ small-scale power plant turns food and bio-waste into energy, water, fertilizer directly on the site the where the waste is produced. This eliminates the costly, and harmful, movement of waste and provides the waste producer with a continuous revenue stream that will achieve payback in less than two years.
Sandra Sassow, CEO of SEaB Energy commented:
“We have already experienced how valuable the Mayor’s International Business Programme is helping us grow in the US having participated earlier this year in the Female Founders International Visit to Silicon Valley. Now, having secured a number of customer orders in the US, the purpose of this second visit is to explore further opportunities in localising our production in the US as well as meeting with potential distribution and maintenance partners”.
The US market is now proving very lucrative for SEaB Energy due to the growing economic and environmental benefits of on-site waste to energy technology. Consequently, the company will shortly be announcing a number of new customer orders including a system in Manhattan, and two further installations in Minnesota. SEaB
Energy has just recently implemented its technology at a site of Portugal’s supermarket leader, Continente, and is in the final stages of commissioning another system at a major teaching hospital in the UK.
Asia is also becoming an important market for SEaB Energy. Most recently, the company has been shortlisted for the semi-finals of the 8th China (Shenzhen) Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition, having been selected from more than 5,000 entries. SEaB Energy also recently participated in the Green Energy Technologies Business Mission to Korea, organised by the EU, which has resulted in partnership agreements with a local distributors.
