Renewable Experts Collaborate to Form Consultancy
An expert renewables company from Germany and an offshore wind specialist from Britain have announced they will collaborate to help the industry grow. 8.2 Consulting AG has joined forces with Aarufield to create a UK-based consultancy firm named 8.2 Aarufield. Combined, the two companies will offering high-end technical, commercial and financial advice to wind, solar and biomass leaders.
Both 8.2 Aarufield partners bring teams with unparalleled turbine, supply chain and original equipment manufacturer experience and a singular aim, which is to redefine industry standards throughout the lifecycle of renewables developments.
Led by industry pioneers from the UK, Germany and France, 8.2 Aarufield leverages strong European connections and will have access to a network of 130 financial, electrical, mechanical engineers, operating from 28 offices globally. It builds on the strength of the 8.2 Group, which has performed more than 20,000 wind turbine inspections since it started 20 years ago, and the unparalleled experience of the Aarufield team.
8.2 Aarufield is unique as the only UK consultancy with such a wealth of turbine experience and technical knowledge extending to wind farm infrastructure and balance of plant while also leading the market in composites, grid and health & safety.
Chairman Julian Brown, who is also elected Chair of Renewable UK, said: “We have come together to build on each other’s success to grow the business in the UK. 8.2 Group boasts 20 years of operation and solid expansion, having evolved from onshore turbine specialists, to experts in offshore and now also solar and biomass plants.
