TED talks: does money make you mean? – Paul Piff
What can a rigged game of Monopoly tell us about our money habits? In this week’s featured TED talk, social psychologist Paul Piff shares some of his research into the behaviour of the wealthy.
Piff, a post-doctoral researcher in the psychology department at the University of California, Berkeley, says that while inequality is a complex and daunting problem, it’s not all bad news.
Filmed at TEDxMarin in October 2013, he explains how social hierarchy, inequality and emotion can shape relations between individuals and groups.
