The Energy Consortium Welcomes New Members
A number of new members have joined The Energy Consortium (TEC) today. These include Macclesfield College, Bridgwater College, University Centre Peterborough, University College Birmingham, The Wellcome Trust, City Lit and Godalming College.
All members will benefit from TEC’s new energy frameworks and combined staff knowledge of 97 years’ in the industry. Further benefits also include access to forecast energy usage and cost to allow accurate budgeting via a suite of reporting tools and, a detailed account management.
A dedicated member-only zone is also available to all members on the TEC website, with each institution having a personalised login, providing access to their member details, event bookings, daily market movement graphs and key industry updates.
With Bridgwater College, TEC identified that the college could save more than £150,000 per annum in comparison to its current contract. Following investigation, TEC discovered that difference was the result of the broker commission hidden in the unit rates negotiated with the previous supplier.
Richard Murphy, TEC managing director, said: “We are very pleased to welcome these new institutions to TEC and look forward to working closely with them to ensure they are provided the best energy solutions. TEC’s portfolio of members is ever increasing and we are sure this will continue with our widespread knowledge and dedication to our members.”
