New initiative aims to create social change

A new social enterprise initiative is inviting people to become involved in a fellowship that aims to connect people who share a vision and appetite for social change.

Pioneers for Change will provide a six-month Fellowship that includes virtual mentoring and executive coaching alongside a two-day forum. The initiative aims to bring together wealth holders, entrepreneurs, investors, career changers and talented thinkers and do-ers to explore social innovation and impact. The forum aims to develop each participant’s potential to be a catalyst for greater good by harnessing their own talents, ideas and ambitions.

The inaugural international Fellowship will kick off in London on 23 and 24 March at The Brigade. Over the two-day event the programme includes discussions, master classes and roundtable conversations, on subjects ranging from technological discoveries to philosophy.

Pioneers for Change explains that they focus on three key objectives – learn, connect and act – to “nurture and build that capacity for leadership to achieve significant and sustainable social change and impact”.

The initiative aims to combine the latest thinking with hands-on practice and guidance from exports at the forefront of their field. Those taking part can expect to be supported for six months by innovators and leaders, create a personal manifesto to make the world a better place and to gain a new perspective from a network of diverse, like-minded individuals.

Speakers at the two-day event, where delegates are expected to learn, do, engage, interact and reflect, include Scilla Elworthy, three times nominated Nobel Peace Price and former adviser to The Elders, Julia Groves, CEO of Trillion Fund and Simon Boyle, the vision behind the Beyond Food Foundation, amongst many others.
