Liam Kavanagh of Rockfire Capital Comments on The Future of The Green Investment Bank

Liam Kavanagh, Founder and CEO of renewable energy investor Rockfire Capital, comments on today’s question to Business Minister Nick Hurd about the future of The Green Investment Bank.

He said:

“I’m with Richard Branson – it would be a pity to let the Green Investment Bank get broken up by asset strippers. Fingers crossed the Commons help the Government see sense. This process has exposed the government’s lack of commitment to the low carbon economy. With China increasing their investment in renewables by 60% last year, we need to ensure our leaders understand the importance of funding in this area.”
