Investment term of the day: equity dividend

Equity dividend is the annual cash flow an equity investor receives. It is usually a distribution of the profits.

The dividend can take various forms including cash, additional stock shares in the issuing corporation or another business or property. The proportion of their shareholding decides the amount paid to each investor.
